Film stock

• Velvia 50D is a high saturation, high contrast color reversal film noted for its vivid color reproduction. It was discontinued and 'replaced' by other stocks like Fuji Eterna Vivid 160, but see below for sources of both.

Purchasing film stock

• Pro8mm carries a large variety of Super 8 film stocks remanufactured from 35mm stock, mostly Kodak. Their Pro8/43 ASA 160 Tungsten Negative, if available, is remanufactured from Fuji Eterna Vivid 160, an alleged replacement for Velvia 50D.
• Spectra Film and Video offers a number of Super 8 stocks, including Velvia 50D as of June 2008.

Processing and transfer

• Pro8mm offers all-inclusive packages -- film stock, processing and rank transfer.
• Spectra Film and Video also offers all-inclusive packages with rank transfer. Prices look a bit lower than Pro8mm.
• MovieStuff offers non-rank digital transfer for $20/roll, ~30 day turnaround. You supply tape stock.
